About Us...

Maryhill Mobile Children’s services has a 37-year history of delivering high quality childcare in partnership with the local community to support engagement, education, empowerment, and employment opportunities for disadvantaged and vulnerable families.  We are a registered charity (SC026243) We have a voluntary Board of Trustees .

Originally set up as a mobile crèche by local volunteer mothers looking to access community learning projects, the organisation has grown considerably and now operates a mobile crèche supporting voluntary organisations city wide, a respite service for vulnerable families with children aged 0-3 years, Dunard After School care (est. 2011), and Evergreen Outdoor Nursery (est. 2015) – Glasgow’s first voluntary sector outdoor nursery and in March 2020 we opened St Charles ASC and in March 2023 we opened Tree Top Outdoor Nursery based at Cadder Primary School, 60 Herma Street, Glasgow, G23 5AR

The mobile crèche and respite service, after school care, and outdoor nursery are registered with the Care Inspectorate under the service provider Maryhill Mobile Children’s Services, each having their own separate registration numbers. Our current gradings are:

  • Mobile Crèche and Respite and Eligibly Two's partnership with Glasgow City Council  – 5s

  • Dunard After School Care – four 5s

  • Evergreen Outdoor Nursery – 4s

  • St Charles ASC - 4s

  • Tree Top Outdoor Nursery - 4,5

In partnership with these groups and parents/carers, we will actively promote opportunities for personal achievement to develop each child’s capacity as a successful learner, a confident individual, a responsible person, and an effective contributor within their own community and to society at large.
